It’s not everyday that a fighter (boxer) earn $180 Million to fight his opponent. That’s what reports are saying Floyd Mayweather could earn to
beat up bounce around and tag Manny Pacquaio in what is going to be one of the most talked about fights in boxing history. It’s only been about 6 years since the thought of a Mayweather vs. Pacquaio fight was ever mentioned. Now rewind six years later to 2015 and it’s about to go down Sat. May 2. Who would have thought?!
And for all you people hoping to catch the fight on the big screen because you can’t get to Las Vegas to the MGM Grand Garden Arena…Well, think again. Reports are saying this will also be one of the most expensive pay-per-view fights ever with the price being around $100 a pop which could mean at least $300 million made in domestic views alone.
It’s said that this fight will generate $74 Million in live gate alone which is part of a total package that could surpass $400 Million. With that kind of money bouncing around, I guess $180 Million wouldn’t be a stretch to pay Mayweather. According to ESPN, Mayweather side gets 60% of the revenue and Pacquaio side gets 40% of the revenue.
Cha Ching!! We can’t be mad at that at all Floyd!!
