Just when Sherri Shepherd thought she was going to tip out on her responsibilities, the judge says not so fast. This financial battle between Sherri Shepherd and her ex husband Lamar Sally has been just that; a fight until someone is knocked out battle.
Supposedly the couple had agreed to have a surrogate baby but Shepherd had a change of heart midway of the surrogate’s pregnancy.
Every since Lamar Sally, Jr. was born the two had been in a bitter battle over Shepherd’s financial responsibility for the child. Today, the judge ruled that Sherri is responsible for the child and therefore would have to pay child support.
“There was some additional evidence put on the record involving some video clips involving Ms. Shepherd,” Craig Bluestein, a legal representative for the baby, told ‘People’ of the judge’s decision to hold Shepherd responsible. Bluestein cited a clip of Shepherd “expressing excitement over her and Lamar going to have a baby through the help of a surrogate carrier with no genetic connection.”
Lamar on the other hand, left the courtroom happy with the judge’s decision; telling the press outside the courtroom:
“It’s bittersweet, I’m glad it’s over, but I feel sad what it had to come to. Now I can go back to L.A. and tend to my son.”
Sherri was no where to be found because she didn’t attend court but that didn’t stop the judge from making his decision. Hell in my opinion, that probably helped sway the judge to rule in the ex-husband’s favor as well. It just shows signs of her not caring (that’s just my opinion).
Time to pay up Sherri!
